Mosquito Control

Duplin County Health Department will be distributing Mosquito Dunks on a first come first served basis. The larvicide tablets will be distributed at the Health Department’s office on 340 Seminary Street Kenansville during regular office hours.  The Mosquito Dunks are safe around birds, wildlife , children and pets. The active ingredient is a bacterium that effects the larvae of the mosquitos. They can be used in standing water whole or broken into portions. Remember to dump out standing water in buckets, flower pots, pet water bowls, gutters, old automobile tires and wash outside containers with soap and water to remove eggs. Mosquito dunks should not be used in drinking water. There is a limited supply so they will be distributed as one set per address in Duplin County.
